Chinese and foreign guests visit the Treasures of China exhibition at the Chinese Traditional Culture Museum.

The launch ceremony of this year's Discover China Cultural Tour for diplomats stationed in China was recently held in Beijing. 

Hu Heping, the minister of culture and tourism, said in his address that the Chinese government attaches great importance to cultural and tourism exchanges with foreign countries. 

China has signed cultural cooperation agreements with 157 countries, established 41 bilateral and multilateral cultural and tourism cooperation mechanisms, and formed a government-to-government global cooperation network, he said, adding that China is willing to work with all parties to promote international cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation.

In addition to the launch ceremony.58 cultural and tourism diplomats from 40 countries visited the Treasures of China exhibition at the Chinese Traditional Culture Museum, where they highly praised China's rich cultural and tourism resources, and expressed their intention to promote the beauty of Chinese history, landscape and culture to their own countries through the Discover China platform, thereby contributing to mutual understanding.

China Travel Service(CTS) undertook this activity and planned the tour themed around the four seasons. The routes for spring, summer, autumn and winter will run throughout the year, with rich content, diverse routes and deep experiences, integrating traditional Chinese culture with magnificent natural landscapes. 

Diplomats stationed in China will visit eight provinces and regions -- Yunnan, Hunan, Hebei, Gansu, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Guangxi and Hainan -- experiencing Chinese culture and understanding contemporary China, and embarking on a journey of discovery and friendship.

CTS organized the Discover China series of activities for diplomats stationed in China last year, with over 60 diplomats visiting Chongqing, Wuhan cities and Guizhou province, receiving unanimous praise from diplomats from various embassies in China. 

In the future, CTS will further integrate cultural resources such as memorial halls, museums and folk museums, carry out comprehensive cross-sector cooperation, create diversified tourism consumption scenarios and continuously enhance the cultural connotations of tourism products. 

Leveraging years of experience in the inbound tourism market, CTS will focus on telling China stories and boost mutual appreciation and exchange of different civilizations and colorful cultures.
