Tea embodies the essence of nature and the refinement of human culture. According to the Shennong Bencao Jing, a classic treatise on traditional Chinese medicine dating back more than 2,000 years, Shennong, the legendary father of Chinese medicine, tasted hundreds of herbs to understand their properties and encountered 72 poisons daily, using tea to counteract them.

Tea evolves from a medicinal use to a culinary one, and gradually becomes an integral part of Chinese culture.

Since the Tang Dynasty (618-907), the custom of tea has flourished, evolving from a culinary art to a cultural bridge deeply embedded in the fabric of Chinese civilization. It has become the most vivid material embodiment of the philosophy of "harmony and unity" and the ecological view of "the unity of nature and humanity".

Wuyi tea, nurtured in the picturesque landscapes of Mount Wuyi in Fujian province, captures the essence of its terroir, exemplifying the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature.

This exhibition, guided by the theme of "Upright and Steadfast, Harmonious and Boundless", follows the tea culture, industry, and technology to systematically showcase how Nanping, the city at the foot of Mount Wuyi, uses tea as a pivot to integrate cultural heritage, industrial innovation, technological empowerment, and ecological governance.
