At the 48th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee on July 25, 2026, it was announced that China's Jingdezhen Handicraft Porcelain Industry Sites were inscribed on the World Heritage List.

This marks China's first World Heritage application under the category of "industrial heritage", filling the gap in the World Heritage List regarding heritage sites themed around porcelain.

On view at the Chinese Traditional Culture Museum in Beijing, the exhibition Jingdezhen: A Cultural Heritage follows the framework of outstanding universal value of world heritage, guiding the audience through the millennium of the kiln industry to appreciate the excellence in craftsmanship breakthroughs, experience the global landscape of exchange and mutual learning, and reflect on the contemporary heritage of coexistence in the porcelain city.
