CTCM to conduct promotion event for rural artisans
2026-09-24
As part of the program for the 2026 Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will hold an international exchange and promotion event for rural artisans at the CTCM from Sept 29 to Oct 6.
Under the theme "Crafting Rural Beauty, Blooming Along the Silk Road", the event presents the traditional handicraft skills that rural artisans have carried on.
The event will bring together 100 rural artisans selected from across the country, working in carving and painting, ceramic making, embroidery and dyeing, the making of objects for the scholar's studio, weaving and binding, and paper-cutting and engraving. Six workshops will be set up to create an immersive environment for exchange and hands-on experience.
Visitors will be able to see clay take shape under the artisans' fingers, browse the market of crafted goods, try embroidery and paper-cutting in person, and complete the interactive tasks to win gifts.
More intriguing activities await at the CTCM!
