This year marks the 130th anniversary of the birth of Mei Lanfang (1894-1961), the master of Peking Opera. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, this exhibition brings together over 200 carefully selected items closely related to Mei's illustrious career. These include manuscripts, paintings, calligraphy, ancient books, costumes, playbills, musical instruments and records, with nearly 120 items being displayed to the public for the first time.

The exhibition, titled "The Legacy of Mei Lanfang," is structured into six distinct sections: "Prologue," "Master," "Cultural Ambassador," "A Heart for the People," "A New Mission," and "Unforgettable Memories," offering a comprehensive account of Mei Lanfang's artistic life and highlighting his outstanding contributions and exemplary character. Through heartfelt and meticulously curated displays, the exhibition paints a vivid portrait of Mei as a "Most Beautiful Striver," bringing to life his artistic achievements for all who visit.
